Doing What Comes Naturally By Susan Shifay Cheung

March is going by fast and we’ve jumped forward an hour. You know what that means? Yes, it’s coming up to spring cleaning time and I can’t wait to throw open the windows to let the fresh air in. Along with more air and light, I feel the need to detoxify my body from an over-indulgence of rich food during the winter months. As I search my cupboards under the sink, I take out, one after another, a cleaner for the stovetop, one for the granite countertops, one for the wooden floorboards, yet another for cleaning glass and, finally, a…

Spring Is In The Air….

Still trying to get used to the time change from a few nights ago, I took a sip of coffee and squinted during my morning routine of checking out the weather for this week.  One quick glance was all it took for this mama to break into a happy time dance. We also have a lot of old things now too which can be a bit overwhelming for a four year old…and definitely not in keeping with the Montessori methodology of simplicity. It’s also overwhelming for her parents! So….to the donation station we went this week and now we have room to breathe again….aahhhh (I also discovered some dust bunnies–oh, well). When does your Spring cleaning begin or is it a year round…
