I see dust bunnies I can no longer ignore. Yup, that time is here; spring cleaning and I hate it! I have my sights on the untidy mountain of my children’s artwork—their masterpieces from school, sick days, holidays and play dates piled under the coffee table. Spring Is In The Air….


Still trying to get used to the time change from a few nights ago, I took a sip of coffee and squinted during my morning routine of checking out the weather for this week.  One quick glance was all it took for this mama to break into a happy time dance. Yes, indeed!  It is going to be Spring like weather this week!!!   For this southern girl, Spring time is sweeter than tea.   I noticed the geese making their northern trek the other night and did another happy dance.  It means there will barefoot mornings on the porch…

Spring Cleaning in February


Well, I suppose it is never too early for Spring cleaning. Since our daughter’s birthday coincides with Christmas we have a lot of new things at the house. We also have a lot of old things now too which can be a bit overwhelming for a four year old…and definitely not in keeping with the Montessori methodology of simplicity. It’s also overwhelming for her parents! So….to the donation station we went this week and now we have room to breathe again….aahhhh (I also discovered some dust bunnies–oh, well).
