Franklin Glassblowing Studio is fun!

A good friend and I recently spent time at a local glassblowing studio which I  had often driven past but never visited.   A Groupon got our attention so we scheduled our “Glassblowing Workshop for Two” at Franklin Glassblowing Studio not knowing a thing about “glassblowing” other than it sounded fun.  We both discovered it is REALLY fun- and easy (provided you have a great teacher/artist beside you guiding you through the process which we did!)  We chose to make a heart paperweight which only involved shaping the extremely hot glass. We started by dipping a ball of clear melted…

Cooking Anyone? Try “Weekend Table” blog….

So I was perusing some of the Mommy blogs (there’s only about 5 million) and came across “Weekend Table” written by a mommy, lawyer, and self-proclaimed amateur cook from Connecticut. Just learning…

So after putting my Starbucks gold card in the freezer, I wore my confident smile and started the process. Normally a women that enjoys the…

Happy Spring Weather!

Wow! The weather here in Tennessee has been crazy beautiful lately. Sunny, warm, pleasant and inviting the little ones outside for hours at a time. I can hardly get my little one to stay in to do a little homework or to simply cool off. Yesterday we came in the front door from the park, where we had spent an hour after school, and she promptly ran out the back door!  It’s good for me to get “pulled” outside by my child because left to my own devices, I would spend all hours inside –I am a creature of comfort. …
