I had a great time last night in Murfreesboro, TN at Lunafest-a festival of short films by, for, and about Women! There was a lot of energy-positive energy- and these events give me a lift for days to come. Lunafest was started in 2000 by the Luna company which makes those delicious little nutrition bars. Their goal is to raise awareness for women’s issues and support women’s nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Canada. Over the next few weeks, I will discuss some of the organizations which were represented and the issues they support. Some of them include Postpartum Depression, VBACs (vaginal birth after Caesarean delivery), and Attachment Parenting. All good stuff. There was also some pretty awesome entertainment (Jas & Jo and Aamber Ramirez) along with a silent auction. If I were in a different career, I think I would enjoy being an event planner. Hey, I AM a Mom, so I think that qualifies me as somewhat of an event planner, right? Isn’t a kid’s birthday party an event these days? Depends on your approach actually-depends on a lot of things. Not the least of which is the economy. OK, I digress. So many things to discuss….so little time. After all, it’s Father’s Day!! Happy Father’s day! For now, enjoy this hysterical video–it’s really cute. My husband loved it. He said, I am definitely living “the Dad life” now:) In fact, he is at the pool with our little fish right now-minus the minivan.
And….last but not least, the WINNER of the drawing for a gift of your choosing (organic onesie, t-shirt, tank top, tote bag, journal) was Kevana W.
She likes No Mommy’s Perfect because our message for Moms “relieves stress.” aaahhhhh…..we hope so. Thanks Kevana & you’ll be hearing from us soon regarding your gift!
Everyone enjoy their perfectly imperfect day. Watch that silly video again.
