Hi Moms! My name is Ashley Russell and I am so excited to be apart of the No Mommy’s Perfect Team. I wanted to take time and introduce myself and let you in on where I am in my life. My fiancé’ Brian and I currently live in Dallas and are preparing for our wedding July 16th of this year! We are anxious for the wedding and even more anxious to start a family. I recently turned 31 and feel like my biological clock is tick tick ticking! I know we have plenty of time but we also would love to have a big family. We recently made our first appointment to meet with a Prenatal Genetic Counselor. Brian and I chose to do this because several of our family members suffer from severe epilepsy. The counselor can potentially tell us whether there’s a risk that we might have a similarly affected child and what and if there are ways to prevent this. There are numerous other reasons for going this route including: Advanced maternal age, abnormal results from standard prenatal lab tests, repeated miscarriages, chronic health concerns, and concerns about exposures to harmful substances. You should contact your doctor if you have any of these concerns as well. I will keep you all informed on our journey. I believe so much in No Mommy’s Perfect and the message it brings to all mothers and those of us who aspire to be one. It’s progress not perfection! I want to be the best mom I can and look forward to sharing my triumphs, mistakes, fears, excitement, and all that comes with motherhood and being pregnant. I look forward to hearing from all of you and your experiences as well.
Love and Blessings, Ashley
